While I have a couple minutes … there’s a lot I want to say & I will likely forget something or someone, so I apologize in advance.
First of all Alzheimer’s really freaking sucks! However it is not all bad either. Even in the shit-storm of losing my Dad as I’ve always known him, I have the absolutely wonderful privilege of being able to journey back in time with him to when he was a very young boy growing up on the farm in Beauvallon, AB. Hearing stories that I never knew have given me so many nights of laughter instead of sitting in anger and heartbreak … Thank You Dad 💜
To all my friends and family … THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your calls, texts, and visits to not only check in on my Dad, but to check in on me as well. Those late night coffee runs and trips down memory lane have been a saving grace. Your visits have meant the world to my Dad too because once again, I’m hearing stories of my Dad’s impact in many of your lives that I had NO idea of … Thank You 💚
